Club News 2026
News & Events May 2026
Cerberus Golf Club was the course for or May game. Weather forecast wasn't the best all though it didn't turn out as bad as it was predicted. A little light rain thought-out the round & a slight breeze which made it a little chilly at times. The course was in good condition considering the rain we had overnight. We played 4BBB a new event for the club. A little challenging at the start with a few members cancelling and rearranging the pairs. A fun day had by all. The members that cancelled unfortunately they will have to reimburse the Club for green fee's paid. So those who cancelled please make the bank transfer or pay Ian at Lang Lang if you havent already paid. Thank you.
Next game is at Lang Lang Golf Club 28th June 9.00an Tee off cost for Members $70 Guests $75 lunch included at this game in Club house when your round is completed. This round is now full so if your name is not on the booking sheet and you wish to go on the wait list please contact Yvonne. I am trying to get extra spots.
Please contact Yvonne (0418 520 811).
Message from the Club President
President’s Report – Cerberus Golf Club
Dear members,
Our game down at Cerberus certainly presented numerous challenges, not the least the persistent rain affecting course conditions and play. Despite this, it’s been great to see so many members continuing to turn up and support the club. It was a little disappointing that some members dropped out at short notice and it’s a timely reminder that any member dropping out after payment has been made to the course will be rqquired to pay the green fees for that day.
We trialled a new game format at Cerberus and it proved to be a bit more challenging than what we had expected. The committee will continue to review our games in the future to provide some variations to our normal competition.
Well done to the teams who won on the day, and looking forward to seeing you all down at Lang Lang.

President Dromana Social Golf Club
Message from Club Secretary
The Dromana Social Golf Club braved the elements for our game at Cerberus, with wet weather throughout the day making conditions a little uncomfortable at times. Despite the rain being enough to be a nuisance, we still had a great turnout, which was fantastic to see and a testament to the dedication of our members.
I enjoyed a great round with Yvonne, Daniel and Ashley. On a cold and damp day, Ashley's thoughtful provision of "par 3 shots" was certainly appreciated and helped warm the spirits when they were needed most! As always, there were plenty of laughs shared along the way, proving that good company can make any weather more enjoyable.
Back at the clubhouse, Reg did a fantastic job cooking up the sausages for lunch, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone after battling the conditions out on the course. Days like these remind us that while the golf is important, it's the camaraderie and friendships within the club that keep us coming back week after week.

Captains report
Hi Members,
Just a short Captains match report on our day down at Cerberus Golf Club.
Well the weather forecast wasn’t great for the day and driving down I’m sure everyone was a little apprehensive about how wet it was going to be, but as usual we all braved the elements of a very cool morning and had a pretty good turnout of 36 players for our first time 4BBB pairs game, and was fairly successful in the end, even though a little re shuffling was required by Yvonne after a couple of late pull outs, Excellent job again Yvonne organising all that.
The committee will decide whether we do another one of these events as it is very tricky if people cancel out on a pairs game, we may just do an Ambrose event as that can be done with 3 or 4 players on a team and a little easier to manage, anyway we will see.
It did rain a little but nothing too heavy, and we managed to all get through our round pretty much ok without getting drenched.
After the game it was a nice afternoon in the entertainment area under cover at Cerberus GC.
Where we did the presentations for the winners, the many fines for the day (great job again by the Sheriff Paul Griffo), the monthly raffle, and of course a few refreshments, we definitely need them after a gruelling day on the course, I thought the drinks were a very reasonable price as well, and also we had a ripper sausage sizzle for lunch, thanks to everyone that helped out with organising the supply of that, it was excellent.
Just on closing I would like to thank everyone that turned up and all that helped out for a very good day.
Our next game is down at the lovely Lang Lang Golf Club (The Augusta of Gippsland) Looking forward to seeing everyone down there, apparently we have 44 players down at the moment, excellent stuff, hopefully we will draw a nice sunny day with no frost like last time down there 🤞
Catch all you Bandits on the 28th of June.
Regards
Andy Moule (Captain)
